We are now hiring for our New York and Los Angeles trading desks. Employment at Chimera Chimera's traders are part of a unique working environment where autonomy and collaboration co-exist. It is an entrepreneurial atmosphere with an emphasis on ensuring a workplace that people look forward to coming to each day. While each trader is ultimately responsible for their own success, there is an unmistakable team spirit on the trading floor, and everyone cooperates and helps the people around them succeed.  New Trader Positions Training at Chimera begins immediately, and within two or three weeks new traders are responsible for actively managing small portfolios. New traders are never expected to be anyone's clerk or secretary, and there are no phone calls or retail sales; if hired, new traders immediately join the experienced traders as productive members of the Chimera team. Prior trading experience and market knowledge are not required. It is part of our philosophy that all traders, both new and experienced, are perpetually in training as they share ideas with fellow traders. Common characteristics of successful traders include:
